The Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has extended his greetings and congratulations to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s landslide victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
In his congratulatory message addressed to Mr. Tarique Rahman, the Chief Adviser stated:
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you on the Bangladesh Nationalist Party achieving an overwhelming majority under your leadership in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The clear mandate of the people in this historic democratic transition will stand as an important milestone in ensuring constitutional and democratic continuity and institutional stability in the country.
I firmly believe that in fulfilling the great responsibility of governing the state, you will lead the country toward a stable, inclusive, and development-oriented path, guided by your wisdom, democratic values, and commitment to public welfare. I recall the ideals and statecraft of your father, President Ziaur Rahman, and the uncompromising leadership and commitment to democracy of your mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. I sincerely hope that their ideals and noble works will illuminate your path in the days ahead.
Bangladesh today stands at the threshold of new global opportunities. In areas such as economic transformation, technological advancement, climate resilience, human resource development, and active participation in regional and international diplomacy, the application of coordinated intellect, thoughtfulness, and wisdom is essential. I hope that under your leadership, national unity will be strengthened and democratic values, the rule of law, and accountable governance will be further consolidated.
