Bangladesh Nationalist Party – BNP has initiated a new chapter of positive politics in the country. BNP Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman paid a courtesy visit to the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, who was a political rival in the recent election.
At 7:10 PM on Sunday, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman arrived at the residence of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman welcomed the BNP Chairman by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers at his residence. They exchanged greetings and engaged in cordial discussions.
Also present at the meeting were BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan, Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdullah Mohammad Taher, and Assistant Secretary General Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair.
Chairman Tarique Rahman departed from Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s residence at 7:59 PM.
